Zoo Montana

We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo. It will rain too, too, too. We're going to the zoo!

It was raining cats and dogs, or should we say peacocks and tigers?
The zoo was just magical. The animals were all out and most of them came up to see us.
The otters put on a water show for us and greeted us on dry land.
A baby bear played in puddles and chased kids along the fence.
The big horn sheep stood on a rock right in front of us.
The wolverine came over and sniffed us.
It was just pure magic!

Three cute little monkeys!

It was such a special day. The children were all so well behaved and had so much fun! Watching their umbrellas bob up and down as they splashed through the puddles was even more magical than watching the animals!

The tigers were both feisty. They came right up by the windows. They even ran and played with each other.

A big thanks to all of our Special Grown Ups! The preschoolers had so much fun!

Mother's Day Surprise

Surprise!
Thanks to couple of Grandparents we were able to make a fabulous Mother's Day surprise.

We formed pots out of clay. The children used their knees to create the shape.

After stamping shapes in the soft clay the children painted their pots. They were so serious, making the perfect gift for mom is serious business!

After the pots were fired the children planted flowers in them.
Thank you so much to our fabulous volunteers! What a fun project!

Easter Art

Let's Think About It!
Both classes made intricate Easter art projects. The teachers had made sample projects. Then the children had to pick out all of their supplies, and then figure out how to assemble them. It was so fun to see how they went about the task.
Here they are painting the eggs. They got to pick out which colors to use and to mix to get other colors.

This gentleman is trying to figure out which way the wings go. What a great way to figure it out!

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, & Respect

Reuse
For our opening activity we reused papers to make new art projects!
Look at the sentences that this kiddo wrote, all by himself! Wow!
The paper in the upper right hand corner is a calendar that a child wrote the numbers on! Amazing!

Reuse and Reduce
We made garbage monsters out of items that would have otherwise been thrown away. Some of the monsters were even three dimensional.

Here's one of the finished projects. That is a good looking monster!

Recycle
Sorting out the recycling. Our final items were paper and cardboard.

Yeah! The recycling is all sorted out. Look at all of the trash that we saved!

Respect
All of the children planted cat grass. We talked about what plants need and what they do for our planet.

Park

We kicked off Earth Week
(Reduce, Reuse, Recycle & Respect)
with a trip to the park.

We picked up garbage (respect), walked there (reduce), and played (fun)!

There are two parks within walking distance of our school. What a great way to get some exercise and practice our fabulous social skills!
